Water Fight
We had an amazing time at our water fight this afternoon. The weather was gorgeous and we got very wet!

We would like to say a massive thank you to the PTA for providing some yummy ice creams after our water fight today!

Chestnut Class had a visitor in school. A vicar came to speak to them about baptism to link in with their R.E topic on Christianity.

Oak and Chestnut Class had a challenge today to make up their paint and then use it to uncover the secret number. They then had to put these in order. It was like magic!

Chestnut Class were very lucky to have Sarah Ward in school to show them how to decorate a cupcake. We think they look too good eat… almost!

Mrs Perry’s Phonics group used Phonics sounds footballs to write lots of words containing those sounds.

Chestnut Class have been learning about the Olympics. They made some torches out of sugar paper and tissue paper. We think they look great!

In P.E with Mrs Hunter-Dale today, Chestnut Class were learning the best techniques to be able to run faster. They tried really hard!

Chestnut Class have been learning all about Beatrix Potter and in particular the stories about Peter Rabbit. Today they had a teddy bear picnic, eating foods that Peter Rabbit would eat from Mr McGregor’s garden. The radishes weren’t very popular!

Oak & Chestnut Class have been learning about hedgehogs in Forest Schools and talking about how to look after them. Oak Class have also been looking at the book On Sudden Hill which is about a group of friends who love changing boxes into all sorts of different things. We thought we would give this a go and as well as looking at hedgehogs we also had a go at turning junk into models!
