Educational Visits and Visitors

We organise visits regularly to enrich our curriculum.  The children always benefit greatly from learning outside the classroom and really bringing their learning to life.  Recent visits include: Manchester airport, Liverpool Maritime Museum, Stone-age Day in Windermere, Blue Planet Aquarium in Blackpool, Brockhole and Wray Castle in the Lake District, etc.

We also have many visitors in school to enrich our curriculum, these include storytellers, poets, artists, visitors from a range of different cultures and religions, drama workshops, history workshops, musicians, police, fire service, first aid trainers, representatives from charities, librarians, etc. We build on these visits in our learning and the children benefit greatly from first hand experience with a range of visitors to school.
