Run a Mile
We have a path all the way around our school grounds which we use as both a nature trail and running track. We do the “Run a Mile” activity most days with the children sometimes incorporating exercises such as star jumps or squats into their run following the fitness trail instructions! We educate the children about the importance of exercise in keeping fit and the effects of running and exercise on their bodies. A mile is 5 laps of our school track and the children can jog, sprint and recover or power-walk.
