Beech Class enjoyed testing their paper planes on the field in their ‘dress as a describing word’ costumes for World Book Day.
We spent a bit less time on the prom than we’d planned for as it was a bit blowy but we still had chance to look at some of the places we have been learning about. We then went to church and found out about the vestments the priest wears and why and had chance to look round the church linked to our work on Lent. We then had our lunch in the Parish Hall and some chips as an added bonus….well, we were at the seaside!
At the maritime museum, we looked around and found out about the warehouse and custom house. We learnt about goods traded and Lancaster’s role in the Slave triangle. We also took part in a workshop where we considered how sculptors convey emotions and looked at memorials. We will be bringing home our sculptures next week.
