Sports Funding
Sports Funding is additional money paid to schools for a limited period of time with the aim of increasing participation and skill level in sporting activities for primary age children. The money is designated to be spent on professional development for teaching staff, equipment, facilities, sports clubs, events and competitions.
Below is the evaluation of our sports funding spend for 2023-24
Swimming
We are required to publish the number of children in Year 6 currently who can complete the National Curriculum requirement of swimming 25 metres, using a range of strokes and perform safe self-rescue in a range of water-based situations. Currently 100% of Year 6 children can swim 25m or more. This follows participation for many children in our PTA swimming club, school swimming in Years 4, 5 and 6 as well as private swimming lessons and swimming clubs for some children.
