Our whole school enjoyed taking part in different activities based on different continents of the world to introduce our theme ‘Global Citizens’.

Oak Class and Year 1 were very lucky to work with Nick from Junior STEM, building and programming some cars. Nick said he was very impressed with everyone’s engineering!

Oak Class had a wonderful time at our Stay and Play session on Friday. We had a busy morning going on an Easter egg hunt, making Numicon patterns, decorating biscuits and doing some finger painting! Thank you to everyone who joined us. We had the best time!

Oak and Chestnut Class spent an afternoon with John- The Creepy Crawly Man! He brought in a hissing cockroach, a snail, a stick insect and a snake called Monty! Everyone had a great time handling the creatures and asking lots of great questions!

Oak Class have been really enjoying playing outdoors over the last few weeks. The cold and rain haven’t put us off! We have been playing in the mud kitchen making all sorts of different concoctions and even went on a bug hunt where we found Superworm!

Oak Class have been doing Gymnastics in PE this half term. We have been pretending that we are in the jungle and we have to think about how different animals would move around on the apparatus which we have been pretending are obstacles in the jungle!

Oak Class had a fantastic trip to Wildlife Oasis yesterday. We had the opportunity to handle some animals, make Christmas crackers for the meerkats, watch the arctic foxes and the Scottish wild cats being fed Christmas themed treats, had a lovely buffet and met Santa and then we finished the day off by exploring the indoor zoo and playing some of the animal themed games outside.
Oak Class had a great time doing the Elf Run today! Don’t forget to get your sponsors in for St John’s Hospice!
