Ms Bradbury’s son, Ben, came into school and showed the children a slideshow in assembly all about his recent adventures mountain biking down the Andes from northern Peru to the southern-most point of Chile. He then answered the children’s questions in each class. They learned about the way of life in various S American countries, the challenges of travelling by bike, altitude, temperature and camping and they were particularly fascinated by the landscapes and wildlife. They asked some great questions!
Everybody had such a wonderful time at the disco on Friday. Thank you to the PTA for organising it!
We have all had a wonderful day for theme day. Activities included making stick people in Oak Class, stop/start animation in Chestnut Class, drawing pictures to film scores in Sycamore Class and making sock puppets in Beech Class. Such a productive day!
We were really lucky this week to have a visit from Imran who runs a mosque in Bolton. Imran ran an assembly and did a session in each class to teach us about Islam as part of our R.E topic.
Sycamore Class took part in a workshop about water. They looked at where our water comes from, water shortages and how we can save water in our homes/ at school.
Sycamore Class had good fun taking part in a sports taster session with Mark Gunn. They had a go at Tag, dodgeball and archery.
Everyone did such a fantastic job in their production this week! Well done to you all!
