Number 9

This week Oak Class have been learning about number 9. They have been busy outside making part whole models and ordering numbers on the washing line.

Flat Earth or Spherical body?

In Science this week, we considered evidence to support ideas about the shape of the Earth.  We asked some really good questions and debated different ideas.

Firework Week

Oak Class loved creating art using balloons and glittery sand to make firework designs.

Playtime Fun!

Supertato

Chestnut Class have enjoyed looking at the book Supertato and creating their own ideas and writing based on this. Look at our fantastic Supertatoes and our super hero poses!

Sculpture Boats

Chestnut Class have spent the last few weeks making sculpture boats inspired by their learning on Ernest Shackleton.

Tennis

We have been developing our hand-eye co-ordination in our P.E. lessons in order to improve our tennis skills.

Forces

Sycamore Class have been carrying out lots of different investigations to do with forces. We have been looking in particular at pushes and pulls and how many Newtons it takes to carry out one of these forces.

Borwick Hall

We had a fantastic day at Borwick Hall taking part in a variety of outdoor activities. We all had a go at canoeing, orienteering and the low ropes course over the pond. These activities really tested our perseverance, communication, cooperation and risk taking skills.

Enchanted Forest

Sycamore Class enjoyed wandering through an enchanted forest while they collected exciting words to help them with their writing.
