Christmas Fun!

Oak Class have been having lots of Christmas fun. We have made Rudolph cakes, been busy wrapping presents in our toy workshop, played with glittery ice and done lots of other sparkly craft! Christmas has definitely landed in Oak Class!

Reindeer Run

Oak and Chestnut Classes enjoyed wearing their antlers and running round the track to raise money for St John’s Hospice!

Reindeer Dash

We donned our antlers and ran round our track to raise money for St John’s Hospice!

Snowman Biscuits

In the run up to Christmas we have been taking part in many activities. We especially enjoyed making our melted snowman biscuits – and eating them!

DT – Wells

Sycamore Class enjoyed designing and creating wells and developed lots of skills including using a glue gun, measuring, sawing and decision making.

African Pots

Sycamore Class created colourful African pots as part of our theme topic (Journeys). They formed a thumb pot to start with and then added coils on top. Using their hands and a range of tools, they created their planned designs and added different textures. Once dry, they painted on top. Well done.

Jelly!

Our Year 1 and Year 2 children have been making (and eating!) jelly and then writing instructions. We think they have done an amazing job with their writing.

Reading Shack

Chestnut Class and Oak Class have enjoyed swapping books in our new Reading Shack!

Remembrance Day

Oak Class have been thinking about Remembrance Day this week by making fruit and craft poppies.

Diwali

Oak Class have been making coconut barfi, listening to the Rama and Sita story, role play in the home corner with diva lights and pretty jewellery, independently making character puppets in the craft area, lantern making and using our senses to explore different spices.
