Year 1 explored the school grounds, collecting leaves and identifying which trees they came from.
Paul Klee
Year 1 have been looking at the work of Paul Klee and have used their painting skills to recreate his style.
Digestive System
Sycamore Class have been learning about the digestive system and recreating it using banana, Weetabix and tights!
Woodmatters
Sycamore Class have really enjoyed their trip to Woodmatters near Windermere. We learnt a lot about Stone Age and early Bronze Age life by doing a lot of different activities including making axes, creating copper sun disks, making stone age art, hunter gathering and creating fire.
Manchester Airport
Chestnut Class had a fantastic day out at Manchester Airport. They really enjoyed learning about different jobs at the airport and pretending to be the pilot!
Pancakes
Sycamore Class designed, cooked and enjoyed their own pancake based around the balanced diet plate.
Gymnastics
Sycamore Class have been using the apparatus in their gymnastics lessons to practise balancing, rolling and creating shapes.
Stone Age Houses
Sycamore Class made models of Stone Age houses thinking about the furniture inside them.
Cross country
Beech Class tried their best at the cross country competition and did very well, although some of us were exhausted by the end!
