Oak Class have been busy building guttering ready for the rain.

Beech class have made the most of the sunshine by making sundials to investigate what causes day and night.
We explained our findings with the help of a model globe and torch to show that the rotation of the Earth causes day and night.
Chestnut Class have been learning about engineers. They had a science show by a visiting company where they had to help some alien visitors solve a problem. They also took part in class workshops where they used various materials to create inventions to protect an egg on a journey!

Chestnut Class enjoyed creating their collages to show how trees change throughout the year.
Sycamore Class have been testing the properties of rocks, as part of their Science topic ‘Rocks’. We had six samples to test for hardness and permeability. We recorded our observations, allowing us to group the rocks based on their properties!
Sycamore Class were lucky enough to be visited by Imagining History this week and took part in a workshop all about launching a Viking raid! We made a living timeline of events to learn more about this important period in History and had to create Viking longships to raid the Anglo-Saxon monastery on Lindisfarne. We had a fantastic time!
Oak Class have been super busy preparing for our first bake sale. We picked our own apples from the garden and spent 2 days making delicious muffins and amazing apple crumble. We hope everyone enjoys it!
