Chestnut Class enjoyed breaking certain school rules as part of a PTA fundraiser.
Chestnut Class enjoyed their visit from the Yogi Group where they practised their yoga skills and breathing techniques.
Beech Class enjoyed learning about yoga and breathing exercises in an interactive way with the Yogi Group.
Beech class have been learning about the Americas in our theme this term. We have enjoyed making salsa in class. We tried 5 different types!
Oak Class have been exploring the numbers 6 & 7 this week. We have had a go at making the numbers in different ways with objects, natural resources and Numicon! We found lots of different ways!
In storytime this week, Oak Class read the story ‘Pumpkin Soup’ and we had a go at cutting and chopping a pumpkin. We also scooped all the seeds out. We used our fine motor skills to control different tools like knives, spoons, tweezers and cookie cutters. We used our imagination to make lots of things like pumpkin soup, pumpkin cake and pumpkin pizza! We had lots of fun!
Oak Class have had fun learning about the story ‘The Three Little Pigs’ this week. We have done lots of drawing and writing about the story, as well as going on a stick hunt to build the stick house, building all the different houses in our outdoor area and in the small world and even acting out the story using masks and puppets.
Chestnut Class had a wonderful time on their trip to Haverthwaite Railway linking with their work on the history of transport.
Oak Class have enjoyed reading and retelling the story of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ using small world.
