Today in our Forest School session we went for an explore to spot signs of winter. We noticed that the trees were bare, the leaves on the floor had turned brown and that the weather was very chilly! We then used natural objects to create winter pictures.
Oak and Chestnut have had a wonderful Christmas party today and even had a very special visitor…
As it was the last after school club of the year, the children were taken out to the firepit for hot chocolate, biscuits and mince pies. It was such a lovely way to finish the year!
Oak and Chestnut Classes really enjoyed singing our play songs for the parents this week. It was lovely to be able to gather together outside!
Oak Class had a wonderful time on their trip to the zoo yesterday. We saw loads of different animals, had a play on the play park, had a lovely Christmas lunch, fed the reindeers and met Santa who gave us all a brilliant zoo themed present! What a way to finish the term!
Oak Class went on a walk to post their letters to Santa. On the way back we stopped at the water pump and counted how many Christmas decorations we could spot.
We had a lovely time raising money for St John’s Hospice this morning, running a mile with our antlers on. Everyone did so well and tried so hard!
Oak and Chestnut had a lovely Christmas dinner today. They had crackers, festive music and a lovely roast dinner!
