Skipping Workshop
All the children took part in a skipping workshop today. They had a great time!

We had a fabulous time doing a ‘Dress Like A Creature’ day and raised lots of money for the RSPCA. Well done everyone, the costumes were fantastic!
On Monday, Oak Class had a campfire, toasted marshmallows and had hot chocolate. They also sang some songs and had a story. This linked in with their learning about Diwali and firework night and they talked lots about how to keep safe around fires.
This week in Maths, Oak Class have been looking at repeating patterns. They have made them in lots of different ways including with shapes, on computer games, with paint and with Nexus pegs.
Oak Class have been really interested in camp fires and cooking recently so we decided to use some of the apples from our trees to make apple crumble. We then went out and ate our apple crumble in our fire pit area. We then collected some sticks ready for a camp fire in a couple of weeks time.
Reception had their first Phase 2 Phonics lesson this week. Lots of fun was had on the yard with chalk and they even met Geraldine the Giraffe who helps with the sounds.
