Debbie from NISCU came in this morning to do an Easter assembly. We learnt about why Christians celebrate Easter and did some singing.
We have been learning about plants and this week we investigated how the size or weight of a sycamore seed might change how far it would travel.
The whole school had a wonderful day dressed up as pirates and taking part in lots of different activities. We created pirate finger puppets, created and raced our own boats, made treasure maps, practised walking the plank, sang sea shanties, built dens and cooked pirate food.
Sycamore Class had a wonderful time at Leighton Moss this week. They completed two activities over the day. One activity was called Discovering Birds in which they looked at feathers and nests and did some bird watching in a hide and on a sky tower. They also did an activity called a Living Things Trail where they followed a map and answered questions based on living things. What a brilliant day!
We have been able to start up our paired reading in school again this term. Every other Tuesday afternoon, Sycamore read with Oak Class and Beech Class read with Chestnut Class. It has been lovely to see everyone together!
We all wore yellow and blue to raise money for Ukraine. It was lovely to see the support from everyone!
We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day. There were some amazing costumes and it was lovely to see them all!
Chestnut and Sycamore Class have had a a great time having some golf sessions over the past couple of weeks.
