Nature Club
Nature Club had a wonderful, messy time making mud faces at Nature Club this week!

Kate, who runs the Life Education sessions came in yesterday to do a session with each class. They all learnt different things about their bodies and how to take care of them. Here are a few photos from Chestnut Class’ session.
Every two weeks, we link two classes together to do shared reading where younger children read their reading books to older children or older children read story books aloud to younger children. Beech and Chestnut get together and Sycamore and Oak. We love to do this as it is fun to share books and spend time with children from other classes reading to each other.
All the classes have taken part in an Elf Run today for St John’s Hospice. Thank you to everyone for their donations! Here are a few photos from Oak and Chestnut’s Elf Run.
Chestnut Class wrote and posted their letters to Santa. Let’s hope they arrive in time!
NISCU came in to do a puppet show, for Oak and Chestnut Class, all about Christmas. It was lots of fun and we got to meet lots of animals!
Oak Class have been learning about castles and dragons so of course we had to have a medieval banquet. We learnt lots about the etiquette of a banquet and the role of the servant (which of course was a role that the staff took on!) We invited Chestnut Class and some special VIPs including Miss Palmer who has now finished her last day with us. We will all miss her a lot and we hope she comes back and visits us!
We all had a wonderful Halloween, dressing up as lots of different characters as well as having our movie night. Thank you so much to the PTA for organising and carrying out such a brilliant evening!
Oak & Chestnut Class have been learning about bonfire and firework safety this week so of course we had to have a fire and toast some marshmallows. We also made sparklers with breadsticks, melted chocolate and sprinkles!
A few more photos of Chestnut Class’ trip to the fire station, museum and Judge’s Lodgings.
