Movie Night

Our PTA movie night was a massive success with so many children joining in. Thank you so much to the PTA and staff who helped with the organisation and running of the event!

Beech Class Mexican Wildlife Collage

Beech Class have been learning about the Mayans and Mexico. They used collage to decorate their Mexican wild animals and birds.

Beech Class Frida Kahlo Portraits

Beech Class learned about the Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. They created collage backgrounds of jungle scenes. They drew portraits of Frida Kahlo using pencil.

Beech Class Portraits

Beech Class made collage portraits of themselves and covered them with acetates with line drawings of their faces.

Opera

Beech and Sycamore classes enjoyed their trip to Morecambe Winter Gardens to watch an opera performance for schools. We learnt some Italian musical vocabulary and were amazed by the talent of the singers.

Yoga

Beech Class enjoyed learning about yoga and breathing exercises in an interactive way with the Yogi Group.

Cooking – salsa

Beech class have been learning about the Americas in our theme this term. We have enjoyed making salsa in class.  We tried 5 different types!

Science Investigation

Beech class have made the most of the sunshine by making sundials to investigate what causes day and night.

We explained our findings with the help of a model globe and torch to show that the rotation of the Earth causes day and night.

Aquathon

Our aquathon team represented school in an event at Bay Leadership Academy, finishing 2nd out of 9 schools. Well done!
