Fund raising for Ukraine

We all wore yellow and blue to raise money for Ukraine. It was lovely to see the support from everyone!

Forest Schools- Boat Making

Today in Forest School the children had a go at making boats with sticks, leaves and string. They looked great!

Wave Painting and Textiles by Beech Class

We painted acrylic paintings in the style of Maggie Hambling’s wave paintings. We used our paintings as inspiration for our textile work depicting waves. We used applique and a range of textiles, threads, sequins and beads to create waves and movement.

Fruit Printing by Beech Class

We used a combination of screen printing and etching to create our designs based on tropical fruit to link with our work on the Amazon rainforest.

Forest School

Chestnut Class enjoyed a Forest School session today. They have been writing their own version of the Rainbow Fish story. Their task for Forest School was to make a character from their story using natural materials.

World Book Day

We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day. There were some amazing costumes and it was lovely to see them all!

Pancake Day

Oak Class had a wonderful time celebrating Pancake Day on Tuesday. They made and ate pancakes, learnt a pancake song, did a pancake dance and did some pancake races with a tennis racket (frying pan) and a bean bag (pancake). What a great day!

Mass Investigation

Beech Class had a go at doing a mass investigation this week in Maths.

Blackpool Sea Life Centre

Chestnut had a wonderful trip to Blackpool Sea Life Centre working on our whole school theme of ‘Life on the Ocean Waves’.
