Oak Class Adventures

Just a few photos of some of the things we have been up to over the past couple of weeks. We have been so busy exploring the school grounds, the local area and all the different areas of the classroom!

Bikeability- Oak Class

Oak Class had a great day practising using the balance bikes and some children were even ready for pedals! More fun will be had tomorrow!

Bake Sale

Oak Class have been very busy baking and decorating some delicious treats for our bake sale this afternoon! We hope to see as many of you there as possible!

Butterflies

This week was butterfly release day for Oak Class! Unfortunately we weren’t as lucky as Chestnut Class and they decided not to land on us (apart from one that landed on Mrs Laycock) but we did all say ‘goodbye’ as they flew off and we are hoping they will visit us again!

Mini First Aid

Year R and Year 1 enjoyed their mini first aid session, learning skills including dialling 999 and applying a plaster.

Williamson’s Park

Oak Class had a wonderful time visiting Williamson’s Park. We explored the woods, making shelters for toys, found lots of different types of leaves, played in both play parks, had a picnic and even got a guided tour around the mini zoo and got to meet a stick insect, giant African land snail and even a tortoise called Columbus! Of course we managed to sneak an ice cream in as well!

Italy and the Pond

Oak Class have had a wonderful week learning about Italy, using spaghetti in their play in lots of different ways. We even went to explore the pond area for the first time!

Pizza making

This week in Oak Class, The Very Hungry Caterpillar travelled to Italy where he tried some pizza. We had a go at making some of our own pizzas and they were delicious!

Oak Class Bake Sale

Oak Class have been busy preparing for the bake sale. We have been baking our bunny biscuits and making lovely, chocolatey Easter nests. We look forward to seeing you there and thank you so much for your support!
