Oak Class went on an Autumn hunt in forest school this week. We found lots of things like different coloured leaves, bare trees and berries. We were sad that we didn’t see a squirrel though!

Oak Class all got into the spirit of Break the Rules Day, along with the rest of the school. Thank you for helping to raise money for our wonderful school through the PTA.

Beech Class picked apples from our apple trees. We then made apple crumble using weighing skills and following a recipe. After this, we did maths based on proportions and measures linked with our recipe. Finally, we tasted our delicious crumble with custard!

Beech Class needed their resilience and risk taking skills at Borwick with their activities of canoeing on (and jumping in) the canal, archery and tree abseiling.

Chestnut Class had a wonderful day at Borwick Hall learning bush craft and shelter building skills and bell boating on the canal. They also had a rocky ramble on Farleton Fell in the sunshine.

Sycamore Class had a great time climbing, bouldering, on the high ropes course and on the canal in rafted canoes. They used their perseverance, resilience and communication skills to put their all into all the activities.

Beech Class have been learning about forces and we took our learning outdoors to conduct an investigation about friction.
Oak Class have had a wonderful week exploring pumpkins, doing painting, making the bug hotel ready for any guests and getting ready for our class assembly next week.
