Oak Class have had a wonderful first week back at school. We have been busy doing so many things. We have played in puddles, practised our fine motor skills, learnt about 2D shapes, done lots of Phonics activities including a word hunt, collected leaves for leaf hedgehogs and then made the hedgehogs during Forest School, learnt the Rama and Sita story and so many other things. We also talked about Mrs Laycock’s trip to Iceland, looked at some of her photos and even held some real lava! We’ve had a wonderful week!
Linked with their stone age study and printing art focus, Sycamore Class created printed designs on both paper and fabric. They used images of stone age cave art to inspire them.

Oak Class created pumpkin collages using natural materials found in our grounds on a nature walk in forest schools.

Chestnut Class created collage backgrounds and placed their self-portrait image in relief on top.

Beech Class studied the portraits by Pablo Picasso and used these as inspiration for their own 3d card sculpture portraits.
