Sycamore Class really enjoyed our visit from a man who lives in Kenya. We learnt lots of very interesting facts about volcanoes, particularly Mount Nyiragongo, Gorillas and Warthogs.
This week, a lady came in to talk about the dangers of carbon monoxide and how to avoid them.
This week, all the classes had a talk from a man from Kenya about what it was like to live there.
Sycamore Class have been making habitats for a range of different animals, including foxes, hedgehogs and rabbits. They were tasked with ‘selling their habitat’ as if they were estate agents, describing in detail what they had made and explaining their design choices!
The Very Hungry Caterpillar continued his journey around the world this week in Oak Class. This week he visited Germany so we made and ate some black forest gateau! It was delicious!
Oak Class have been learning about different countries and cooking food from each one. So far we have made some pavlova whilst learning about Australia, poutine when learning about Canada. Here are some photos from today’s learning about Spain. We got the chance to make and try some paella.
Oak Class had a fantastic day at Borwick Hall last week. The weather was fantastic and we got to take part in a range of different activities such as indoor caving, fire building (marshmallows and hot chocolate included!), den building, bear hunt, teddy bears picnic and an obstacle course.
