Chestnut and Oak Classes took part in their run to raise money for St John’s Hospice, all while wearing antlers.
Sycamore Class enjoyed their run around the track while wearing antlers to raise money for St John’s Hospice.
In Science, Sycamore Class conducted an experiment to test the permeability of five different soils: clay, loam, silt, sand and chalk. We measured the volume of water filtering through the soil over three minutes to compare their permeability and found some were very permeable, whereas others absorbed water.
Beech Class wore their antlers and ran the reindeer dash to raise money for St John’s Hospice.
Everyone in Beech Class worked in pairs to research and present information about Christmas celebrations around the world. We are developing our public speaking and presentation skills using volume, expression and gesture. We found out about 16 countries including: Armenia, Portugal, Columbia, Italy and Germany.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Christmas Concert on Friday. The children all did a wonderful job! We hope everyone has a wonderful break!
Oak and Chestnut Class had a wonderful time at their party yesterday. We danced, played games, had some food and even had a visit from the big man himself!
Oak Class have had a super busy few weeks! Not only have we been practising for our Christmas play AND our class assembly, we have also managed to fit in lots of Christmassy activities such as making all of the things for our bake sale, making salt dough Christmas trees, making pom poms, playing in our Christmas themed role play and writing and posting letters in our Christmas Post Office! Today we have even been enjoying making Mrs Claus’ biscuits in the playdough area. We have even had time to celebrate a birthday in our class with a space themed cake which was delicious!
